The Carle goes to Easthampton Bearfest! 3:30 – 6:30 pm
Join us at the Emily Williston Memorial Library!
Experiment with colored tissue papers, scissors and glue to create your own tissue paper collage inspired by artist Eric Carle, the author and illustrator of The Very Hungry Caterpillar and illustrator of Brown Bear, Brown Bear What Do You See?. Also, catch a screening of the film Eric Carle: Picture Writer in which Eric demonstrates his unique collage process. All ages are welcome to participate! Ben Kilham lives in Lyme, NH where he raises orphan Black Bear cubs and releases them into the wild when they are ready. He is a leading expert on bear behavior research and author. Art Walk Easthampton

Art Walk day in Easthampton this month is a must see! So many things going on: The Valley Jazz Divas perform at Old Town Hall, where you can see a group exhibit with Gregory Stone, Marcia Reed, and Silas Kopf! September will be the last full month that the Easthampton Bear Fest Bears will be on display around the City. October will be an exciting month with the Bears coming to Old Town Hall and Main Street for a farewell to the Bears exhibit before they go up to the Log Cabin for auction. Of course you can come and see the bears any time that you want, but Art Walk day is an extra special day to take a tour of the bears. The Grand Unveiling of the Bears!

Please join Easthampton City Arts on Saturday, June 13, to celebrate the grand Unveiling of the Easthampton Bear Fest Bears!
Starting at 2 p.m. in the Municipal Parking lot on Cottage Street (by the Easthampton Mural)
Come and enjoy the afternoon & evening with a full day of events, exhibits and fun in Easthampton.

**Get your Bear Fest “Track Map” to guide you through the exhibit around the City

**Bear Fest Bear Artists will be on hand to talk about their bears on exhibit

**Bear Fest Tee shirts and other merchandise will be available for sale

** Mt. Tom’s Homemade Ice Cream will be unveiling its special Bear Fest Ice Cream Flavor at the Municipal lot!!

**Opa-Opa Brewing Company will be hosting a Bear Fest Beer Garden! Food, entertainment, and the newly created Opa-Opa Bear Fest Beer will be revealed!

Easthampton Bear Fest

The bears are coming! At least 30 bears, 20 large and 10 small, will be on display throughout downtown Easthampton. They will be uniquely painted by local and regional artists. During their four months of residency, bear-related events will take place.

Eastmont Art Fund 3rd Annual Juried Art Exhibit Fundraiser

For 8 days, arts and culture will blossom in Easthampton. We need the creative community and the general community at large to help plan and organize the events to occur during this week. The sky is the limit, from concerts, dances, theater, exhibits, poetry, film, literary events, puppets to whatever the community can imagine to express its creative culture.
