Sponsorship

Sponsorships are needed! The bears are being sponsored by local businesses, corporations, private citizens, and civic groups. There are many reasons to become a sponsor. Different levels of participation allow diverse options. Read more inside about how you too can collaborate with the Easthampton 2012 Bear Fest to make this incredible large-scale public art event a reality in Easthampton! WHY SHOULD I BE A SPONSOR?

  • For eight months of widespread publicity throughout Massachusetts and beyond, including extensive marketing through print ads in area newspapers, online advertising, publicity posters and guide maps, and television and radio coverage of supporting events, social media, and the final auction;
  • For eight months of a statewide marketing campaign. Most of the printed materials will feature the names of patrons and artists;
  • Because thousands of people are expected to visit Easthampton and those visitors will see your name and the artist‟s name will be on the plaque next to your sponsored bear;
  • For the satisfaction of supporting local artists and art programs;
  • And the appreciation of the community and bringing many people together for a common cause.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
The cost of each bear is underwritten by a patron who is a business, individual, civic, or other not-for-profit organization. An artist—whose design concept has been reviewed by the Bear Fest Committee—is then given a “bare bear” as his/her canvas. In June 2012, all of the bears will be in place in and around downtown Easthampton and the Bear Fest begins with an unveiling parade! At the end of the exhibit in September 2012, the bears go up for auction at the Grand Bear Party Gala & Auction, with our charity recipients receiving part of the proceeds!
